Okotoks seniors tap into free expert talks on health and planning

The Age-Friendly Speaker Series runs twice weekly through June, covering topics from home care to hearing health and transit.

Okotoks seniors have a wealth of free expert advice waiting for them this month. The Age-Friendly Speaker Series covers everything from health to finance to community services, with two sessions each week through June.

Tuesday sessions run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Okotoks Public Library. Wednesday sessions take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Rotary Room of the Viking Rentals Centre. No registration required—just show up.

Topics through the end of June include: Medically Supervised Home Care (June 2), Home Care Supports (June 9), Seniors Mental Health (June 10), Alberta Aids to Daily Living (June 16), Okotoks Public Library Programs & Services (June 17), Healthy Hearing (June 23), and Okotoks Transit (June 24).

Each session is tailored to the needs of older adults, covering practical topics that matter to people managing their lives and health as they age.
