The Calgary Flames beat the Seattle Kraken 6-2 at the Saddledome on Friday, their fifth win in six games. Matt Coronato had a career-high four points, one goal and three assists, and Calgary never trailed. Seattle had beaten Calgary 6-1 twice earlier this month.

Joel Farabee scored midway through the second period during a Minute to Win It contest, and Morgan Frost opened the scoring on a power play after Adam Klapka fought Curtis Douglas less than two minutes into the game. Douglas was given two extra minutes for roughing after the fight. Matvei Gridin scored his fifth goal of the season on the power play in the second period.

Head coach Ryan Huska said Klapka's fight was not a response to criticism of the team for not answering Colton Dach's hit on Devin Cooley in Edmonton on Wednesday. Huska said Klapka "had energy in the first period when not a lot of other guys did." Dustin Wolf was solid in his return to the starter's net.

"I think as a group, I thought everyone was kind of doing the right things and everything was sort of going our way," Coronato told reporters. "If we can stick to that simple game and play like that, I think it's going to be good."

Its next game is Saturday at Colorado.
