Man dies in single-vehicle collision on Tsuut'ina Trail southwest Calgary

A man in his 20s died Friday night after his 2005 Pontiac Grand Am left the roadway and struck a concrete sign-pole base on Tsuut'ina Trail S.W. approaching 90th Avenue S.W. in southwest Calgary. First responders extricated him from the vehicle and transported him to hospital, where he later died. He was the sole occupant.
Speed and impairment are not believed to be factors, Calgary Police said. The Traffic Unit is investigating.
