The Calgary Stampeders defeated the B.C. Lions 41–33 on Saturday evening in Kelowna, spoiling the Lions' first game at the Apple Bowl after being displaced from B.C. Place for the FIFA World Cup.

Vernon Adams Jr., Calgary's quarterback, delivered three touchdown passes and led the Stampeders to a 10-point halftime lead. The Lions' Nathan Rourke, who replaced Adams Jr. as B.C.'s starter before being traded to Calgary, threw two first-half touchdowns but couldn't rally the team in the fourth quarter. More than 19,000 fans attended the capacity crowd.

Calgary's touchdowns came from five different players: Dedrick Mills, Jalen Philpot, and Tevin Jones caught TD passes; Quincy Vaughn scored on a rushing touchdown; and Tyreik McAllister added a 90-yard punt return for a touchdown in the final frame. Jude McAtamney kicked two field goals, including a 57-yarder that tied the stadium record. The Lions' Zander Horvath and Jermaine Jackson caught TD passes, with Horvath adding a rushing score late in the game.

The Stampeders improved to 2–1 on the season, while the Lions fell to 0–3.
