Three men seriously injured in two overnight Calgary shootings

Incidents in Beltline and East Village early Saturday; police investigating both cases.

Calgary police are investigating two overnight shootings that left three male victims with serious injuries.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, officers responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of 14 Avenue S.W. in the Beltline. Police found two men who had been shot. According to a police sergeant, one man was near the entrance area while the other was found in a hallway with a gunshot wound to the arm, calling for help. Officers suspect they were shot outside the building or elsewhere and may have been fleeing when found. Both are in serious condition.

Then, shortly after 3 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of 5 Avenue S.E. in East Village. They found one man with gunshot-related injuries who was taken to hospital in serious condition.
