Two pedestrians hit by Honda Pilot in northeast Calgary
A man in his 50s and a man in his 20s were struck Tuesday afternoon at 20th Avenue and 32nd Street N.E. Their conditions have improved to serious.
Two men are recovering after being struck by a Honda Pilot turning from westbound 20th Avenue onto southbound 32nd Street N.E. in northeast Calgary on Tuesday afternoon.
The pedestrians—a man in his 50s and a man in his 20s—were in a crosswalk when the vehicle hit them, throwing them several metres. Both were initially listed in critical condition but have since been upgraded to serious condition and remain in hospital.
The driver, a man in his 50s, remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. Speed, alcohol, and drugs are not believed to have been factors.
The crash marks another serious incident at a busy northeast intersection. Police continue their investigation.
