A woman in her 80s was struck by a reversing car in the parking lot of a business at 251 Stewart Green S.W. on Saturday, September 26, just after 11:10 a.m. She was walking with a mobility walker when the collision occurred. The driver, a woman in her 70s, was backing out of a parking stall.
The pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The driver was not injured. Calgary Police Service is investigating the collision, with impairment, speed and distraction all remaining under investigation.
