Woman in her 60s dies after collision with school bus in southwest Calgary

A woman in her 60s died after being struck by a school bus at the intersection of 162nd Avenue and 6th Street S.W. on September 17 around 3 p.m. She was initially transported to hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, but her condition deteriorated and she died as a result of her injuries. The death was announced on Tuesday morning.
Calgary Police Service traffic section is investigating the collision. Police say they are examining impairment, speed, and distraction as possible factors, though they cautioned it is too early to determine which factors contributed to the incident.
