Strathcona County residents can meet first responders, explore emergency vehicles, and learn about careers in policing at a free public safety showcase on Friday, August 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Salisbury Composite High School (20 Festival Way) in Sherwood Park.

The Strathcona County RCMP is hosting the event in partnership with Strathcona County Enforcement Services, Strathcona County Emergency Services, and local public safety agencies. The family-friendly showcase will feature interactive displays, information booths, emergency response vehicles, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.

Representatives from emergency services, policing, and community safety organizations will answer questions about emergency preparedness, public safety, and available services. Participating groups include Strathcona County Emergency Services and Enforcement Services, the Alberta RCMP Recruiting Unit, Alberta Sheriffs, Edmonton Regional Search and Rescue, Utility Safety Partners, MADD Edmonton and Area Chapter, CN Police, Canadian Pacific Kansas City Police, and other community partners.

The Alberta RCMP Recruiting Unit will also provide information about careers in policing and the RCMP recruitment process.

Admission is free. Vehicle access to the parking lot will be limited, with additional parking available nearby. Washroom facilities will not be available on site.
