A man in his 20s was seriously injured in an altercation near the intersection of Laval and Wellington streets in Hull on August 1, and Gatineau police are asking the public for help tracking down what happened.

Police were called around 3 a.m. after a report of an unconscious man bleeding from the head. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a semi-conscious person with apparent injuries. He was transported to hospital, where his condition was initially reported as stable — but later deteriorated, police said in a release Monday.
