The Advanced Canada Workers Benefit will be deposited into accounts on October 9, 2026—one of three annual payments the Canada Revenue Agency makes to low- to moderate-income workers.

The benefit has two components: a basic amount for eligible workers, and a disability supplement for those approved for the Disability Tax Credit. The CRA releases roughly half the annual entitlement in three advance payments spread across the calendar year—January, July, and October.

For the 2025 tax year, maximum payments per deposit are $272.17 for a single person, $468.83 for a family, and $140.50 for each person qualifying for the disability supplement. A single person with the disability supplement could receive just over $412 per deposit. A family where both adults qualify for the supplement could receive close to $750.

You qualify for the basic benefit if you have working income, your net income is below your province or territory's threshold, you've been a Canadian resident for the full year, and you're at least 19 by December 31 (unless living with a spouse, common-law partner, or child). To claim the disability supplement, you need an approved Disability Tax Credit certificate on file with the CRA.

Eligibility phases out at adjusted net incomes of $26,855 for singles and $30,639 for families. The disability supplement begins to phase out at $37,740 for singles and $49,389 for families. Alberta, Quebec, and Nunavut operate separate arrangements with different maximums and thresholds.

The CRA recommends waiting 10 business days before contacting them if your payment doesn't arrive when expected. Your 2025 payments were calculated using your 2025 tax return. The first payment of the next benefit year will arrive January 12, 2027.
