Pai, Toronto's most famous Thai restaurant, is finally expanding outside the city with a new location at Square One in Mississauga opening this fall.

The restaurant will boast indoor seating for 80 plus another 30 on a semi-enclosed patio, bringing the full Pai experience to the mall's food district rather than a typical food court kiosk. All of Pai's staple Northern Thai dishes will be available, alongside special offerings unique to the Mississauga location, though details on those remain under wraps.

Since opening its now-iconic Entertainment District location on Duncan Street in 2014, Pai remained a wholly Toronto-based operation until adding a sister location at Yonge and Eglinton in 2024. Subsequent outposts came to Kitchen Hubs in Liberty Village and the Castlefield Design District.

According to co-owner and chef Nuit Regular, the decision to open in Mississauga wasn't random. "Mississauga holds a special place in my heart because it's where my life in Canada began. Bringing PAI here feels like coming home, and we're excited to welcome both new and longtime guests to experience the flavours, traditions, and warm hospitality of Northern Thailand," she said.
