Woman fatally stabbed at North York residential building Saturday afternoon

A woman is dead after a stabbing at a residential building in North York on Saturday afternoon, July 18.
Toronto police officers were called to the area of Fairview Mall Drive and Don Mills Road shortly after 2:30 p.m. for reports of a person with a knife inside the building. Upon arrival, officers located a woman who had been stabbed. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect fled before police arrived and remains outstanding. Toronto paramedics attended the scene but did not transport anyone. The homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
