Toronto police are searching for Somerda Miclescu, 22, of Toronto, who they say took her three young children during a semi-supervised visit with a family member in Scarborough. Miclescu does not have custody of the children, police said, and they are seeking a charge of abduction by parent.
The children are Anastasia, 4 months old; Irina, 3 years old; and Daniel, 6 years old. Police allege Miclescu took the children and fled the premises just after 11:30 a.m. on Friday, in the area of Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East, west of Danforth Road. Police put out the alert on Friday, October 23.
Police believe Miclescu is driving a 2017 white Ford Expedition with Ontario plate DJJS 875. Miclescu is five feet seven inches, around 180 pounds, with long, dark black hair. Miclescu was last seen wearing a long black skirt and a dark-coloured top.
Police released images of Miclescu and the children to help locate them.
The material does not say whether the children or Miclescu have been located, who the family member was, or whether a court order or custody arrangement governs the visit. Police contact details and any request for public tips were not included in the material available for this story.
