Missing Toronto teen found safe after week-long search

A Toronto teen missing for more than a week has been found safe, police said Thursday.
The girl, named Esther, was last seen in the area of Bathurst Street and Hotspur Road, south of Highway 401, on May 16. Police initially reported she was last seen in Earl Bales Park on May 15, but the discrepancy was later clarified in the search timeline.
Toronto police announced the discovery in a social media post Thursday afternoon. Officers said they will provide more information at a command post in Earl Bales Park at 3 p.m.
The safe recovery ends an intensive search that involved the public and police resources across the city.
