GO Transit and TTC facing service cuts this weekend for maintenance work
Multiple transit disruptions across the GTA this weekend will affect GO bus and train service, the UP Express, and TTC Line 1.
Getting around the GTA will be difficult this weekend with service adjustments across three GO Transit lines, the UP Express, and a section of the TTC. On the Lakeshore East line, GO buses will operate between Durham College Oshawa and Pickering GO, then run express to Union Station on Saturday and Sunday. Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough, and Danforth GO stations will have no service; riders are encouraged to use the TTC instead. The Stouffville Line will have no service at Milliken, Agincourt, and Kennedy GO stations, with buses replacing trains between Old Elm and Unionville Go Stations before running express to Union. The Lakeshore West line will keep trains running but on an adjusted schedule: hourly service between West Harbour GO and Union Station, and every 30 minutes between Oakville GO and Union Station. The UP Express will run every 30 minutes over the weekend for track upgrades; 15-minute service resumes Monday. On the TTC, service on Line 1 between St. George and Sheppard West stations will be replaced by shuttle buses starting at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 7, through end of service that day due to planned track work. Regular train service resumes Monday, but single-track service between Lawrence West and Wilson will cause delays of up to 25 minutes until Tuesday morning.
