A massive sinkhole has closed Jones Avenue in both directions at Boultbee Avenue in Toronto's Riverdale neighbourhood, forcing traffic delays and TTC service changes.
The street collapsed at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 26. Work crews have closed the area to repair the damage. No injuries were reported.
TTC buses are detouring via Gerrard Street East, Greenwood Avenue, and Danforth Avenue. The city has not said when Jones Avenue will reopen to traffic or when transit service will return to normal in the area.
