Toronto's guard scored 37 points with nine 3-pointers, leading an unlikely second-half rally to beat Connecticut 101-97.

Marina Mabrey tied the WNBA single-game 3-point record and the Toronto Tempo overcame a 16-point deficit to beat the Connecticut Sun 101-97 on Friday night.

Mabrey scored a career-high 37 points, going 9 of 12 from 3-point range. She poured in 21 of her points in the fourth quarter as Toronto mounted their comeback. She also grabbed four rebounds and dished four assists.

Temi Fagbenle shot 8 of 9 from the floor and finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. Maria Conde added 19 points off the bench with six rebounds.

Connecticut jumped out to a 50-37 halftime lead, but Toronto outscored the Sun 64-47 in the second half to pull away down the stretch and snap a three-game skid. Kennedy Burke led the Sun bench with 18 points.
