A woman in her 30s was struck by a driver who fled the scene in a light-coloured sedan. Police are searching for the suspect.

A woman in her 30s died early Sunday after being struck by a vehicle on Eglinton Avenue in Mississauga. Emergency crews responded around 6:10 a.m. near Eglinton Avenue and Erin Mills Parkway, where they found the woman with critical injuries. Peel paramedics transported her to a local hospital, but she was pronounced dead.

Police say the driver fled the scene eastbound on Eglinton Avenue from Erin Mills in a light-coloured sedan. The intersection remained closed Sunday with residents urged to take alternate routes. Peel police are investigating the incident.
