Multiple road closures this weekend for Pride and Iraq-Senegal match

Church Street closes Friday through Monday. Iraq plays Senegal at 3 p.m. Friday with fan marches starting at noon.

Toronto's streets will be heavily restricted this weekend as the city hosts Toronto Pride and a World Cup match between Iraq and Senegal.

Church Street from Dundas Street E. to Bloor Street E., and Wellesley Street E. from Yonge to Jarvis, close Friday at 9 a.m. through Monday at 7 a.m. for the Pride street fair. Gerard Street E. and Carlton Street remain open for eastbound and westbound traffic.

The Trans Pride March runs Friday from 6 to 10:30 p.m., closing Hayden Street from Yonge to Church, Church Street from Bloor to Hayden, Yonge Street from Bloor to Dundas, and Gould Street from Yonge to Church.

On Saturday, the Pride and Remembrance Run closes roads from Jarvis to Queen's Park Crescent and Queen's Park Crescent from College to Bloor from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Dyke March, running noon to 5 p.m., uses the same closures as Friday's Trans March.

The Pride Parade on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. closes Aylmer Avenue from Rosedale Valley Road to Yonge, Park Road from Rosedale Valley to Church, Church Street from Park Road to Yonge, Bloor Street E. from Yonge to Park Road, and Yonge Street from Aylmer to Carlton.

Friday's Iraq-Senegal match at Toronto Stadium kicks off at 3 p.m. An Iraqi fan march begins at Stanley Park at noon, travelling south on Strachan Avenue to Coronation Park. Senegal has a planned march from Trinity Bellwoods Park at 1 p.m. to Coronation Park.

Multiple road closures surround Exhibition Place, Liberty Village, and Fort York from 10 a.m. until 8 to 11:30 p.m. Lake Shore Boulevard West closes fully between Bathurst and British Columbia Road. Strachan Avenue closes in both directions between East Liberty and Lake Shore Boulevard West.

Soccer fans hoping to watch Team Canada's match Sunday should note that FIFA games won't be shown at Nathan Phillips Square due to Pride events.
