Significant road closures and traffic restrictions take effect Saturday, July 4, ahead of Canada's World Cup Round of 16 match against Morocco at 1 p.m. and the FIFA Fan Festival at Fort York and The Bentway.

The Fort York neighbourhood will be restricted to local access only from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Local access applies to residents and businesses between Bathurst Street and Strachan Avenue, and Fleet Street to Fort York Boulevard.

Fleet Street between Fort York Boulevard and Strachan Avenue remains fully closed through July 31 for temporary transit infrastructure improvements during the World Cup.

The FIFA Fan Fest opens at 11:30 a.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m., with the match broadcast across all zones. The City of Toronto and the Getting Around FIFA website are providing live updates on closures and traffic changes throughout the day. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time and monitor real-time traffic updates.
