Jollibee opening 16 new restaurants across B.C. over next five years

Jollibee, the Philippines' largest fast-food chain, is bringing 16 new restaurants to B.C. over the next five years following a multi-unit development agreement signed in July 2026 with a multi-brand food retail operator.
The expansion will grow Jollibee's B.C. presence from four current locations to 20. The company currently operates two Vancouver locations — on Granville Street and Cambie Street — plus one in Surrey. The new agreement, combined with an earlier 10-store deal for Edmonton, will expand Jollibee's Canadian footprint from 28 to 54 restaurants by 2031.
Jollibee operates more than 1,700 stores worldwide and is the dominant fast-food brand in the Philippines. The Granville Street location, which opened in 2022, drew a crowd of 5,000 diners eager to try the chain's signature Jolly Crispy Chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and Jolly Spaghetti — pasta studded with hot dogs.
"Canada continues to be an attractive growth market for Jollibee, supported by strong consumer demand, strong brand relevance, and increasing interest from experienced franchise operators," said Richard Shin, Jollibee Group's chief financial and risk officer, in a statement.
