Kebab on Fire, a Victoria-based kebab chain, is opening its first Vancouver location in Olympic Village in late summer.
The shop at 1637 Manitoba St.—just across from Olympic Village Square—will offer a range of kebab wraps and plates with different meats, falafel, hummus, sauces and vegetables, plus sides. The company originally launched downtown Victoria in 2024 and is expanding with locations planned for Whistler and Montreal as part of a broader push toward global reach.
The previous tenant at the space was a liquor store. Signage on the storefront reads: "We're bringing the kebab game into the modern world."
Ray's, another of Vancouver's most affordable dining spots, recently opened its 60-seat patio in Yaletown. Located just across from Yaletown-Roundhouse Station, the restaurant offers double-patty smash burgers, cheesy pastas and soft serve sundaes. A multi-course dinner with drinks for two runs just under $100. Ray's opens daily at 11 a.m., with earlier service at 9 a.m. on select match days during the summer.
