Pax Romana closes Commercial Drive outpost before relocating to new Drive location

Pax Romana, the Mediterranean-inspired tapas and cocktail bar at 1670 Commercial Drive, is closing this weekend before relocating to a new spot further along the same street.
"We're turning the page," the bar announced on social media. "This weekend will be our final one in our current home as we get ready for an exciting new chapter on Commercial Drive."
Regulars have long favored Pax Romana for its curated wine selection and bespoke cocktails alongside an array of Mediterranean tapas—charcuterie platters, baguettes topped with jamón and anchovies, patatas bravas. The intimate neighbourhood spot has built a devoted following over its time at the Commercial Drive location.
More details on the new location have yet to be announced, though the bar is teasing clues on social media. "In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for our Pax Romana light box on The Drive… it might just give away where we're headed," the announcement said. Locals are encouraged to visit one last time this weekend.
