Afuri Ramen, the Japanese ramen shop that opened on Main Street in 2022, will close its doors for good on June 28.
The restaurant announced the closure on Instagram, thanking customers for their support over the four years it's been operating. "Your support has meant more to our team than we can put into words," the post read.
Before it closes, Afuri is offering a $10.99 ramen deal — a chance to grab one last bowl of the yuzu ramen that regulars say was some of the best in the city. The shop was also known for its dumplings.
Afuri's Richmond location is already listed as permanently closed. The closures reflect broader challenges facing independent restaurants in the region, even those with loyal followings.
Anyone looking to make a final visit has about three weeks.
