Wildlight Kitchen + Bar closing after 3+ years in West Point Grey

Wildlight Kitchen + Bar, located at 107-5380 University Boulevard in West Point Grey, will close for good on Saturday, November 28.

The restaurant opened in February 2023 as Pattison Food Group's first restaurant venture. The company also owns Save-On-Foods, Buy-Low Foods, Quality Foods, and Everything Wine. Wildlight was Michelin-recommended three times during its run, serving a menu that included pescatarian charcuterie board, Wagyu burger, and seared Hokkaido scallops with truffle risotto, alongside an all-day menu, daily happy hour, and a Thursday Cocktail Club.

Ownership announced the closure on social media, saying "For everyone who has supported us and been part of our journey, we are incredibly grateful." The team was also recognized: "Most importantly, we want to recognize our amazing team. Their dedication, passion, hard work, and commitment to serving our guests have been at the heart of Wildlight since we opened our doors."

The restaurant will spend its final months celebrating. "We have the next couple of months ahead of us, and we intend to spend them properly: one final menu, celebrating everyone who built this place into what it became," ownership said. "To everyone who sat at our tables: thank you. The next couple of months are for you too. Come say hello, come celebrate with us, come back one more time. More details soon on the final menu; reservations are open."

The reason for closure was not stated. The closure follows earlier restaurant shutdowns across the Vancouver area in recent months.
