AC/DC is taking over Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom with a merchandise pop-up on August 12-13, just before the band's main stage show at BC Place on August 13 as part of their PWR/UP tour.
The merch extravaganza will feature T-shirts, hoodies, concert posters, drink cups, ball caps, and toques, plus vinyl records and memorabilia from the band's six-decade run. Pop-ups on the current tour have also featured items ranging from life-size cannons and a mock bell (with a grammatical quirk matching the song title) to displays of Angus Young's trademark Gibson SG guitar and his schoolboy uniform—the signature look he's worn throughout the band's career.
The Commodore pop-up will include an Instagrammable AC/DC neon-sign installation and a mock stage featuring the band's logo and Young's iconic guitar. The venue will be open both August 12-13, giving fans the chance to shop before heading to the main event.
Pop-ups on AC/DC's current tour have become a draw in themselves, offering fans exclusive items and a chance to connect with the band's heritage ahead of the live show.
