Starting Sunday, July 5, Water Street in Gastown will become a pedestrian-only hub every week through September 6 for the Gastown Summer Set. The car-free stretch, running from Richards Street to Columbia Street, will transform into an open-air playground from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Sunday, with free admission.

Programming includes live DJs, outdoor coffee parties, flower markets, art battles, patio dining, pop-up activations, games, and surprises—with each Sunday offering something different.

Streetside Sessions, a coffee party hosted in collaboration with Public Disco, will take place July 5, August 9, and September 6, featuring locally roasted coffee and DJ sets across jazz, funk, soul, Latin, house, and disco. More than a dozen Gastown coffee shops will offer exclusive menu items.

Gastown in Bloom, a vibrant flower market, returns July 12, July 26, and August 23, with local florists, plants, and regional producers. The Open Air Atelier—a live art competition featuring emerging artists creating original works in real-time—happens July 19, August 2, and August 30, with voting for your favourite artist.

Gastown Unscripted on August 16 offers low-key programming, inviting visitors to wander, dine at neighbourhood restaurants, and enjoy informal activations.

Free parking is available for up to three hours with proof of purchase at EasyPark (151 W Cordova), and free bike valet is offered at 200 Abbott Street.
