Minami Restaurant hosts summer yakitori BBQ on July 19

Minami Restaurant in Yaletown is hosting a one-day summer BBQ on Sunday, July 19, from 3 to 6 p.m., featuring yakitori skewers and aburi sushi under the open air.
Chef Cody Hibbard has curated a menu highlighting yakitori, skewers, and Aburi Oshi Sushi. Each $75 ticket (plus tax, gratuity included) comes with two drinks, two skewers — options include Wagyu, Pork Belly with negi and aka miso marinade, or Tenderloin with garlic soy — and one 3-piece Salmon Oshi. Complimentary sides include Japanese Potato Salad with kewpie and katsuobushi, and Marinated Edamame with sweet garlic soy and garlic crisp.
Guests wanting more can purchase additional drink tickets for $7 each, extra skewer tickets at $18 for 2 meat and 1 vegetable, and 3-piece Oshi tickets for $9 on the day. Part of the Aburi Restaurants Group — which also owns Miku Vancouver — Minami specializes in aburi-style sushi using flame-searing technique and house-made sauces.
