Downtown Vancouver gets two official FIFA World Cup merchandise stores this weekend, just days before the tournament launches across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.

The first location opens at 810 Granville Street near the southeast corner of Robson and Granville — a 5,000-square-foot retail unit that's been vacant since Daiso closed and relocated in spring 2024. The second store will open inside CF Pacific Centre on the upper-level mall corridor, immediately adjacent to the Apple flagship store near the West Georgia Street entrance.

A FIFA Host City spokesperson confirmed both downtown pop-up locations will open to the public ahead of this weekend, "offering fans the opportunity to purchase official FIFA merchandise as we count down to the arrival of the world's biggest sporting event."

Additional stores are planned for later this month in Northeast False Creek along the Last Mile Match Day Spectator Route — the only pedestrian entrance to BC Place Stadium from SkyTrain — and inside BC Place itself for spectators. Another pop-up will open at the FIFA Fan Festival in Hastings Park, which will run free to enter for 28 days of the 39-day tournament, with live match screenings, food, beverages, activations, concerts, and entertainment.

Fans can also find official merchandise at YVR (which opened its first dedicated store last month), various retailers throughout the airport terminal, Gastown souvenir shops, and select Sport Chek and adidas locations.

The timing mirrors the 2010 Winter Olympics merchandise push, when a sprawling 21,000-square-foot Olympic Megastore opened in the former Hudson's Bay building.
