Lime has launched its first e-bike share service in Burnaby, making the city the latest Metro Vancouver municipality to gain access to the company's micromobility platform.

Residents and visitors can use the Lime smartphone app to locate, unlock, and rent e-bikes from designated parking areas. The service is currently limited to e-bikes; e-scooters are not available in Burnaby at this time.

Initial parking locations are in the Metrotown and Edmonds neighbourhoods, at Burnaby's civic hub just north of Deer Lake Park, and at Christine Sinclair Community Centre west of Burnaby Lake. The service area is bounded roughly by BCIT Burnaby and Deer Lake to the north, Canada Way and the New Westminster border to the east, the Big Bend district to the south, and the Vancouver border to the west. Both the geographical service area and fleet size will expand over time.

Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley said the city is committed to making sustainable transportation accessible. "With more than 100 kilometres of protected bike lanes and multi-use pathways in Burnaby, we're pleased to be able to offer another safe, easy way to explore our community and choose active transportation," he said.

Lime's move into Burnaby connects the city with adjacent jurisdictions where the company already operates: an e-bike share in New Westminster and significant e-scooter service in Vancouver. The company also operates in Port Moody, central Coquitlam, and central Richmond. Lime previously withdrew from West Vancouver, North Vancouver City, and North Vancouver District in Summer 2025 after BCAA's Evolve e-bike share was chosen as the permanent operator for the North Shore.
