Burnaby, Surrey, Coquitlam, Delta, White Rock, and Port Coquitlam all hosting day-long celebrations with live music, food, and fireworks.

While Vancouver won't host a major fireworks display this Canada Day, communities across Metro Vancouver are shaking things up with full-day celebrations and spectacular finales.

BURNABY: StreetFest on Central runs 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Civic Square, Central Boulevard, and Central Park. Community festivities start at Edmonds Plaza and Burnaby Village Museum before shifting to Central Park for live music, food trucks, family activities, beer garden, and performances throughout the night. Fireworks kick off at 10:15 p.m. Admission is free.

SURREY: Canada Day celebration at Cloverdale runs 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre (17728 64th Ave.). Featuring live entertainment, amusement rides, food trucks, Indigenous performers, family activities, and Canadian country star Josh Ross, along with Lee Aaron and Tyler Shaw. Fireworks in the finale. Free admission.

COQUITLAM: Lafarge Lake celebration runs noon to 10:30 p.m. at Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way). Multicultural performances, family entertainment, food trucks, games, and community activities throughout the day. One of the most scenic fireworks displays in Metro Vancouver lights up the lake at 10 p.m. Free admission.

DELTA: Big Birthday Bash at Chalmers Park (11400 76a Ave.) runs 4 to 10 p.m. Features live music, cultural performances, giant games, food vendors, family activities, and a massive community birthday party theme. The North Delta Lions' famous hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries are a crowd favourite. Fireworks at 10 p.m. Free admission.

WHITE ROCK: Canada Day by the Bay at Memorial Park and West Beach runs noon to 10:30 p.m. Waterfront backdrop with live music, family fun, children's area, food vendors, and marketplace. Experience Bad Medicine (the ultimate Bon Jovi tribute band) and country-roots artist Antonio Larosa. Fireworks at 10:30 p.m. Free admission.

PORT COQUITLAM: Castle Park celebration runs all day with live music and a finale fireworks display. This year's lineup includes Canadian rock legends April Wine and country singer Owen Riegling. Food trucks, market vendors, and family-friendly activities complete the evening. Times and fireworks time TBA.
