North Vancouver sports bars are preparing for the FIFA World Cup with wall-to-wall screens, craft beer selections, and locally sourced food specials designed to draw crowds for the tournament's seven matches at BC Place.

Jack Lonsdale's Public House on Lonsdale Avenue is banking on its reputation as a gathering spot. The neighbourhood staple will show most tournament matches across eight TVs with full sound system audio. The pub recently obtained a family food service licence and will offer Two Rivers seven-ounce grass-fed burgers for $14 and $5 off all appetizers and pizzas. They're also running a contest where tables can predict the final score of each game for prizes. Located at 127-1433 Lonsdale Ave.

Tap & Barrel at the Shipyards combines a massive patio overlooking Downtown Vancouver with huge garage-style windows, giant TVs, and craft-focused food and drink. The relaxed West Coast atmosphere with energetic sports bar energy appeals to both longtime fans and casual viewers. A vast selection of local craft beers anchors the experience. Find them at 8 Lonsdale Ave., right at the core of the Shipyards.

Steamworks on 21st Street East boasts a 280-seat taproom with more than 30 rotating taps and a full food menu ranging from smash burgers to famous fish and chips. The cozy, modern venue welcomes dogs with its own puppy menu during viewing parties.

Queens Cross Pub on Lonsdale Avenue features more than 14 screens and happy hour specials. Expect a loud, friendly crowd of North Shore regulars alongside a range of snacks and drinks, including proper Guinness and slow roasted beef dip. Located at 2989 Lonsdale Ave., in front of Queensdale Market.

Sailor Hagar's at 86 Semisch Ave. sets itself apart as the only local pub staying open until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with screens at all corners and a pirate-ship atmosphere. Seymour's Pub at 720 Old Lillooet Road offers twice-a-day happy hours, daily specials, 20 TVs, and two large projector screens. Their elevated pub classics and 22 beers on tap make the experience about more than just sports.

Public Table at the base of Mount Seymour on Northlands Golf Course delivers seasonal mains, well-made burgers and sandwiches, a sunny patio overlooking the golf course, a modern lounge and bar, and screens playing matches throughout. Good Co. Northwoods on Dollarton Highway near Maplewood Farms offers giant LED screens, pool tables, and their Nashville Hot Chicken Burger alongside craft cocktails. The Gull Bar and Kitchen in Lower Lonsdale combines family-owned hospitality with craft cocktails, elevated pub food made from scratch, and a lively warehouse-style setting built for all-nighters.
