Fans across Metro Vancouver and surrounding areas have 28 venues to watch the Spain–Argentina World Cup final on Sunday, July 19, starting at noon.
Free outdoor watch parties include the FIFA Fan Festival at Hastings Park—likely the largest and busiest option, with multiple screens throughout the amphitheatre. Granville Island will host a viewing with seating for 1,000, while North Vancouver's Shipyards and the Junction Public Market will also screen the match. The latter is dog-friendly.
Surrey is offering free events at the Cloverdale Agriplex (with live music and family activities), South Surrey Athletic Park, and Holland Park. UBC's Wesbrook Village and Norman MacKenzie Square will host games as well.
Further out, Delta's Ladner Village pop-up park will feature a giant street party with food trucks and family activities, with free shuttles to the North Delta Recreation Centre. Langley Events Centre will screen the match on a gigantic outdoor screen with a licensed beer garden and free parking.
For indoor viewing, the Vogue (downtown), Hollywood (Kitsilano), and Rio (Commercial Drive) are showing the game free with reserved seating suggested. Cineplex will dedicate screens at five Lower Mainland theatres. The Library Square Pub's Canada Square will show the match on wall-to-wall screens for $20 (includes a beer). Red Card, downtown's soccer-focused pub on Granville, operates first-come, first-served; Parq Casino's 50-foot screen is also first-come, first-served. Ticketed venues include Dublin Calling, Cabana Nightclub, and Container Brewing. The Burrard Queen, a boat, will stream the match. Bodega on Main and the Alcove Lounge on East Hastings have declared support for Spain and Argentina, respectively.
