Pedestrian struck by vehicle at Richmond intersection Friday afternoon

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Minoru Boulevard and Westminster Highway in Richmond on Friday afternoon, July 10, shortly before 4 p.m., leaving the victim pinned under the vehicle.

Emergency responders, including two firetrucks, two ambulances, and several Richmond RCMP vehicles, arrived at the scene. Traffic was significantly impacted, with southbound Minoru Boulevard backed up to Ackroyd Road and both directions of Westminster Highway affected. Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
