District 3 Little League championship runs July 1–5 in Whalley
Three 11/12 Major age-group teams compete for the title starting Canada Day. Games run through Sunday with the championship final at 4 p.m.

Whalley Little League is hosting the District 3 championship tournament this week, July 1–5, with three teams in the 11/12 Major age group competing for the title.
The tournament kicks off on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1, with Langley vs. Coquitlam at 3 p.m. On Thursday, July 2, Whalley takes on Langley at 6 p.m. Games continue Friday, July 3 (Coquitlam vs. Whalley, 6 p.m.), Saturday, July 4 (2nd vs. 3rd place, 4 p.m.), and Sunday, July 5 (championship final, 4 p.m.).
Whalley Little League is calling on the community to pack the stands. "Your energy, cheers, and support help create an unforgettable experience for these young athletes as they compete for a District 3 title," organizers said on Facebook.
In Coquitlam, the 9/10 District 3 tournament will run July 3–8. Whalley also hosts the Rally in the Valley junior invitational tournament from July 9–19.
