Canada Post is temporarily sealing street mailboxes in downtown Vancouver during the FIFA World Cup to manage crowd flow and security.

Between June 11 and July 19, six letter mailboxes will be cleared and sealed near B.C. Place and PNE grounds. The affected locations are:

- Cooperage Way and Smithe Street - East Pender Street and Main Street intersection - 118 Robson Street - 840 Cambie Street - 555 Abbott Street

One mailbox at 1105 Granville Street will be relocated to the southwest corner of Helmcken Street.

The interruptions coincide with seven match days: June 13, 18, 21, 24, and 26, plus July 2 and 7. Post offices near the event zones will remain open for service.

Residents and businesses in the area should plan ahead for mail needs during the tournament.
