The Fairmont Pacific Rim's front plaza transforms this summer into a gathering spot designed for sports fans, food lovers, and the city's community. The Pac Rim Sports Patio opened Friday with a large outdoor screen broadcasting international tournaments and championship games throughout the season.

The menu pairs elevated tacos with craft beer from 33 Acres Brewing Company, returning for a second year after last season's success. New this summer is the Hype Chocolate Tu'i Hiapsek Treats Trailer, an indigenous women-owned concept rooted in reciprocity, connection, and care. The trailer serves handcrafted chocolate, Dubai Chocolate Berries, sweet and savoury bannock, and expertly crafted coffee drinks, including an exclusive Matcha Latte inspired by the hotel's partnership.

The patio sits against the hotel's iconic Coal Harbour waterfront backdrop — the kind of location that anchors a summer destination. Jason Cisneros, Executive Manager of Operations at Fairmont Pacific Rim, framed the space as an experiment in blending "sport, hospitality, culinary collaboration, and community." The partnership with Tu'i Hiapsek reflects a shared commitment to creating spaces where culture and meaningful community impact thrive.

For game-day dining, the patio offers both the casual energy of live sports and the social pull of local collaborations. It's the kind of spot where you catch the action, eat well, and feel the city's summer rhythm in one place.
