BC Place concession prices for the FIFA World Cup tell a familiar story: stadium drinks are expensive, and every size up costs significantly more.
Domestic beer in a 473 mL pour costs $16.25. Premium beer at the same size runs $16.25 to $17.25. Move to 740 mL and both domestic and premium jump to $22. Canned cocktails and seltzers are comparatively cheaper at $12.75 to $13.50.
Non-alcoholic options include sparkling soft drinks at $7.75 and bottled water at $5.75.
On the food side, hot dogs are $10 each, with footlong ($13) and vegetarian ($10) options available. A pizza slice is $10.50, chicken tenders $19.50, and nachos with cheese $11.50. Popcorn and candy round out the mainline snacks at $10 and $8.50 respectively.
The standout deal is the Visa Cardholder Combo at $38.75 — two hot dogs, two chips, and two beverages. Buying those items separately totals more.
The prices apply to the World Cup's first match, a sold-out Saturday, June 13 Australia versus Türkiye game that drew 52,497 fans to BC Place.
