The Vancouver Whitecaps are the top team in the MLS Western Conference heading into the playoffs, the first time in club history.
Game 1 of the best-of-three opening round is at BC Place on Sunday, Nov. 22. The opponent is the winner of the wild-card match between the eighth and ninth seeds. The kickoff time has not been set. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
The Whitecaps have home-field advantage through the Western Conference playoffs as conference leaders. If they advance, they would host the Western Conference Semifinal and Western Conference Final at BC Place, and could host MLS Cup as well.
The club reached both MLS Cup and the Concacaf Champions Cup final last year. Its stated goal for 2026 is to go further in the playoffs than those runs.
The Whitecaps beat San Diego FC at BC Place on Wednesday. FC Dallas, four points back, lost to Columbus the same night. Vancouver and Dallas each have two games left. The Whitecaps could clinch first in the West as soon as Saturday against the Seattle Sounders at BC Place, or in their regular-season finale at Montreal.
The club finished second in the West last season, which meant playing its Western Conference Final in San Diego and its MLS Cup final in Miami.
