An elderly woman was struck by a vehicle in Calgary's Manchester Industrial area on Saturday evening, July 12, and rushed to hospital with life-altering injuries.
The collision occurred around 7:50 p.m. at 58 Avenue and 2 Street SW when a woman in her 70s was crossing 58 Avenue and was hit by a 2012 Toyota Corolla travelling through the intersection. The driver remained at the scene.
Investigators determined that drugs, alcohol, and speed were not believed to be contributing factors to the crash.
