Armed carjacking suspect still wanted; St. Albert shelter-in-place lifted

The suspect in an armed carjacking of a taxi in Edmonton last week remains at large after a thorough search in St. Albert, where the stolen vehicle was spotted. RCMP say the suspect is no longer believed to be in St. Albert after the area was contained and searched. The incident prompted a shelter-in-place order while authorities investigated. Edmonton Police Service had requested assistance from St. Albert RCMP in locating the suspect.
