England advanced to the 2026 World Cup semifinals by defeating Norway 2–1 after extra time, with Jude Bellingham scoring both goals.

Bellingham opened the scoring in the 45+2 minute before adding the decisive goal in the 93rd minute of extra time. The victory sends England to Atlanta on Wednesday, July 15, where they will face Argentina in the semifinals.

Argentina also secured its semifinal spot on Sunday, defeating Switzerland 3–1 after extra time in Kansas City. The match was tied 1–1 at the end of regular time before Argentina scored twice during the additional 30 minutes. It was the first World Cup match in which Lionel Messi did not score.

The other semifinal will see France take on Spain on Tuesday, July 14, in Dallas at 12 p.m. PT. The bronze-medal match is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, in Miami, with the final set for Sunday, July 19, in New Jersey.
