A section of the TTC's Line 5 Eglinton is down Monday after smoke was detected in one of the westbound cars. Toronto Fire responded around 10 a.m. to reports of a fire and found smoke in the car, evacuating riders and ventilating it out. Power was shut down to the upper main line.

There is no service between Mount Pleasant and Don Valley stations. Shuttle buses are running to cover the route. No injuries have been reported.
