Toronto's municipal election is Monday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Approximately 2.14 million eligible voters will cast ballots for mayoral candidates, council candidates and school board trustee candidates.
Advance voting runs Tuesday, October 6 to Sunday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 50 advance voting places across the city — two in each of the 25 wards. Kids Vote Weekend takes place Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, same hours, allowing young people to experience the voting process.
The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is Thursday, September 24 at 4:30 p.m. Voter information cards are being mailed Monday, September 28 to those on the voters' list as of Sunday, September 20. The last day to add, confirm or update voters' list information is Sunday, October 11 at 7 p.m.
Eligible voters can visit toronto.ca/Elections to add or confirm their information, find their voting location, request a mail-in ballot, download a digital voter information card, view accessibility information, see a sample ballot for their ward, and find candidate lists. Voting Proxy Appointment forms are available by email to voterregistration@toronto.ca. The city is working to improve voter turnout.
