If you're heading to the FIFA World Cup at North Vancouver's Shipyards, the neighbourhood's thriving Brewery District offers a perfect post-match circuit—all within walking distance of the soccer action.
Start at 226/228 Esplanade East, where La Cervecería Astilleros and Le cafe Brocante occupy the same building. The Mexican-inspired brewery downstairs serves tacos and the Salted Lime Lager, a local favourite that hits right on a hot day. Upstairs, the boutique winery offers wines and charcuterie, plus traditional Mexican tile work worth lingering over.
Half a block east, Copperpenny Distilling Co. is a North Shore gem owned by a couple who spent years in film—the space feels like a movie set. Cocktails run high ($23 for a Sea to Sky Martini), but flights let you sample the extensive menu without committing.
Next door, Shaketown Brewing Co. excels at community: long shared tables line the welcoming space, perfect for bonding over beer with other fans. Try the 3.0 per cent Friendly Lager, winner of the Best International Light Lager at the 2026 World Beer Cup, or the Pre-Prohibition Pilsner.
Across the street, Beere Brewing Co.'s patio overlooks ships, trains, and planes. The Go Easy pale ale is reliable; Pinky Tuscadero, a raspberry lemonade sour made with Fraser Valley berries, appeals to the adventurous.
One block north, North Point Brewing Co. draws locals with a chill vibe, friendly staff, and a big patio. Pizza and beer pair well for a slower evening.
If you've got energy left, hunt down Streetcar Brewing in an alley off Lonsdale Avenue—and check next door at Cream Pony for fried chicken and doughnuts to bring over. The walk threads breweries and waterfront views together in a way that makes the whole circuit feel less like a checklist and more like a proper night out.
