The Kitsilano Showboat opens its 2026 season with free, family-friendly concerts on the waterfront starting Wednesday, June 17, with the Vancouver Concert Band Society on opening night. The venue will host over 80 groups across 50 nights through August 23, all performed by volunteers—from artists to hosts to committee heads.

"Showboat has been offering new and established talent a venue to display their talents for over 90 years," says Kitsilano Showboat Society president Barry Leinbach. "We support the performing arts in B.C. and provide a place for the young stars of tomorrow to get their start."

The 2026 lineup spans rock, jazz, dance, world music, and more. Featured acts include The Band of the 15th Field Regiment, Saints and Sinners rock band, Earth Wind and Choir, Don Alder, Gary Chalk and the Kits Point All Stars, Vancouver Rainbow Band, the world champion Penke O'Donnell Irish dancers, DJ Dance Party, and ensembles like Tian Guao Marching Band and The Side Project.

Special programming marks National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21), Canada's Multicultural Day (June 27), and Canada Day (July 1) with a full day of children's activities and family entertainment. Canada Day celebrations run 2:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

While Showboat continues to recover from severe fire damage in 2023, the venue remains a cornerstone of Vancouver's summer arts calendar. Regular performances start at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Admission is free.
