The Nest, Metro Vancouver's largest dedicated indoor pickleball facility, officially opened Wednesday, July 22, on Tsawwassen First Nation land near Tsawwassen Mills, immediately hosting the 2026 Pickleball BC Provincial Championships through July 26.

The approximately 98,000-square-foot complex features 29 indoor courts with climate-controlled playing conditions, professional-grade lighting, and 30-foot ceilings. The facility offers year-round tournament infrastructure and caters to all skill levels, from beginner to experienced players.

Steve Deakin Pickleball programming includes beginner clinics, learn-to-play sessions, open play, leagues, and coaching. The Beginner Open Play and Learn To Play programs teach rules, scoring, positioning, and basic strokes in two hours; participants leave with an ONIX paddle to keep. No equipment is needed to start.

The Nest is open daily 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with online court reservations available for members and non-members. Annual adult membership is $180; players 18 and under are free. Members receive discounted court rates, priority booking up to 14 days in advance, recurring bookings, early access to programs and events, discounts at the upcoming Pickleball Depot on-site location, and offers at select Tsawwassen Mills retailers and restaurants.

For pickleball players tired of rain cancellations, The Nest offers uninterrupted indoor play year-round without weather interruptions.
