One person was hospitalized in stable condition following a shooting in Aldergrove on Monday, August 24. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and a 29-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and other offences in connection with the incident.

Langley RCMP responded just before 7:30 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 26900-block of 26A Avenue. One victim was transported to hospital and officers located the suspect vehicle a short distance away, conducting a high-risk traffic stop that resulted in an arrest.

Residents and commuters experienced road closures and police presence in the Aldergrove neighbourhood on the evening of August 24. RCMP Sgt. Zynal Sharoom confirmed there is no ongoing risk to the public. The victim's identity and specific injuries have not been released. Investigators have not disclosed details about the circumstances that led to the shooting.
