Fridays on Front, one of the region's most anticipated street party series, returns to Downtown New Westminster starting Friday, July 10, on Front Street Mews. The free weekly festival runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Each event features artisan vendors, musical performances, food trucks, and community vendors. The festival is a quick walk from both the New Westminster and Columbia SkyTrain stations.
This year's Fridays on Front runs every Friday from July 10 to 24, then resumes August 7 to 21, with six theme nights: Filipino Night (July 10), Games Night (July 17), Retro Night (July 24), Fiesta Latina (August 7), Pride Night (August 14), and Indigenous Night (August 21). Drag performer Justin Abit will host the main stage festivities each night.
Guests can enjoy menus from different food trucks, drinks from Steel&Oak, live entertainment, children's activities, and community vendors. According to organizers, this year expects "more of what people love, plus fresh programming, new themes, and the kind of energy that makes summer in Downtown New Westminster feel like nowhere else."
